SATANA 1.3 (1962) from Selbee Associates featuring the art of Eric Stanton
SATANA
Vol. 1 No. 3
Published by Selbee Associates, 135 West 56th Street, New York, NY
Leonard Burtman -- Publisher; P. Fox -- Editor.
Circa 1962
orig. price $1.00 / 1.25 cents
Approx. 62 pp.
Super Selbee publication presenting a number of fine lingerie fetish photo spreads (in which decor holds as much power as fabric).
Garters and slips battle for effect against a minimalistic fur spread. Finally, a bare skin model makes her point. In addition to model shoots, there are image-rich photo essays on SHOWGIRLS by Carlson Wade, and a number of Eric Stanton artwork, including the continuing panel story "SATANA". Elsewhere Gene "Eneg" Bilbrew fills two pages with gag-cartoons presented as "SATANIC SALLIES" and the short story, THE PICK-UP written by Lee Garamond has a double-page Stanton illustration.   There are classifieds (known as "Epistles to Inferno") and interesting art direction and ads throughout.  Very interesting.
NEAR FINE or better
FLAT, colorful cover, with light wear and handling, spine and edges are rubbed, seems gently read, but still very solid!   Original price sticker on cover as shown.
A nice copy of this hard-to-find Selbee Stanton mag
